Rega Exact MM Cartridge

The Exact is Rega's flagship hand-built moving magnet cartridge and the one fitted as standard to the Planar 6. Its "Vital" fine-line stylus is micro-ground from a rectangular diamond billet and mounted on an aluminium cantilever, while high-spec parallel-wound coils are hand-matched for exceptional channel balance. Rega's three-point fixing makes it a perfect fit for the RB330 tonearm, and its high 7mV output works with any MM phono stage.

The Iconic Planar 3

Rega has pioneered the use of lightweight rigid plinths. The Planar 3 uses a lightweight acrylic laminated plinth strengthened with a double brace system mounted exactly where extra rigidity is needed, between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing. This forms a structurally sound "stressed beam" assembly that prevents energy absorption and unwanted resonance, which would otherwise add unnatural distortion to the music.

RB330 Tonearm

Designed using the latest 3D CAD and CAM technology, the RB330 is the culmination of more than 35 years of Rega tonearm design. A new bearing housing and a tonearm tube with intelligently redistributed mass reduce points of possible resonance, while the high-precision bearings give extreme stability with almost friction-free movement.

Plinth and Double Brace Technology

High-gloss acrylic laminated plinth in Gloss White, with a thicker 3 mm phenolic bottom brace and metalised-skin phenolic top brace for added stiffness, plus an ergonomically positioned power switch.

24 V Motor and Platter

A low-noise 24 V motor with an improved control PCB, ready for the optional Neo PSU for electronic speed change. The re-designed sub-platter, brass main hub bearing and 12 mm float glass Optiwhite platter give improved accuracy and stunning looks.
