The DC Block 6 has been designed to improve the quality of AC electricity that feeds our audio and AV systems.

DC mains supply

One common issue is 'DC on the mains' — a problem that is well known to affect the performance of audio equipment, especially amplifiers. Less than 500mV of DC — typical in an average household electricity supply — can cause toroidal transformers to become saturated, adversely affecting sonic performance and causing audible mechanical vibration.

Dual-action filtration

By blocking DC voltage from the AC mains supply, the DC BLOCK 6 corrects the DC offset and rebalances the mains sine wave. It also contains a high-performance audio-class filtering circuit that removes RFI/EMI contaminants — effective in reducing both differential-mode noise and common-mode noise.
